Talia R. Bout
Who actually gets to access the care that already exists?
Talia is a Public Health student at Tulane University's Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine (Class of 2027), working at the intersection of health policy, market access, and biotech strategy. She most recently worked on the Policy & Reimbursement team in Vertex Pharmaceuticals' US Public Affairs organization, and was previously a Samuel Fisher Memorial Fellow in dermatology innovation research at Massachusetts General Hospital's Manstein Lab.
Her focus on health equity traces back to a high school research project on racial disparities in cancer care and stem-cell transplantation — the same question that now drives her policy research at Vertex and her donor-registry work with Gift of Life.
